October 12th Meeting - Baby Play

7 of our 8 girls came back for our second meeting and we had 2 new girls join!  We are so excited to get to know these great young women.  Cindy Luzeniecki of the Bourbonnais Parenting Program spoke to us about ways to play with your baby.  You don't need a lot of money, just a little creativity.  Thanks for joining us Cindy!

First Meeting of Adventure Teen MOPS!

All the leaders had so much fun at the first meeting and it looked like the girls did too!  We had 8 moms and 7 babies attend.  Tonight was just about getting to know each other and sharing ideas for future meetings.  Our next meeting is October 12th.  Can't wait to see everyone again.  Don't forget to invite any other teen moms you know.  We have plenty of room.

Adventure Teen MOPS First Meeting

It's almost time!  After a year of planning, our first meeting is just around the corner.

Baby Shower Collection Drive

TeenMOPS will be doing a Baby Shower Collection Drive during the month of September. If you would be willing to take a container and collect donations at your church or work, call Lori at 815 939-3707, email her at mailto:adventureteenmops@gmail.com or leave her a facebook message.


Some of the items we will be collecting are $5-$15 gift cards for local stores and restaurants, diapers, wipes, new or gently used baby clothing, toys, or anything a baby might need. We will also... be collecting things for moms like body lotions, makeup, hair accessories, jewelry, and anything else that might make a teen mom feel special.

All items will be used to stock our MOPShop where moms can select items using special money they earn as they grow as mothers and personally. For anyone wishing to make a monetary donation instead, checks can be made out to Adventure TeenMOPS.

Great start!

We have been hard at work raising money for TeenMOPS.  Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the garage sale and bake sale.  We have almost met our fundraising goal for the year!

Is your basement or garage looking like it might be featured on the next episode of Hoarders?  We can help you with that.  We are looking for donations big and small to sell at our garage sale.  If you can help, email us at adventureteenmops@gmail.com.  We appreciate any help you can give us.

We are an official TeenMOPS group!

After much prayer and planning, we have taken the next step in starting a MOPS group for teen moms in the Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais area.  Our charter kit has arrived and we are busily putting together all the details.  There is so much to do.  Will you help us?  We are taking donations of preferably new but also gently used baby items (clothing, toys, books, diapers, bath and feeding supplies, etc).  We would also like home items (picture frames, candles, kitchen tools) and things for our girls (clothing, jewelry, makeup, purses, etc).  We also need gift cards in $5-$20 increments for stores teen girls like to shop at.  If you can help, please email us!  Also, watch for future fundraising events.
